On October 25, 2025, Dr. Karl, the owner of Chateau Nine Peaks, returned to Qingdao. We partnered with the Singapore Chamber of Commerce in China (Shandong Chapter), the Hong Kong chamber of commerce shandong, and The St. Regis Qingdao to host the Chateau Nine Peaks Owner's Tasting Dinner on the 60th floor of The St. Regis Qingdao.

After the guests were seated, Mr. Lubos, General Manager of Chateau Nine Peaks, shared the story of how the winery has rooted itself in the terroir of Laixi, Qingdao. He eloquently recounted its journey—starting from this very land—with the aim of crafting exceptional Chinese wines.

The evening commenced gracefully with the refreshing aromas of the Chateau Nine Peaks Moonlight White. This was followed by the Pinkker Rosé, whose vibrant and crisp character awakened the guests' palates for the journey ahead.

Next, two distinct styles of Chardonnay were presented—the Reserve Chardonnay and the Qi Chardonnay—The winemaker Emily guiding guests to appreciate the nuanced differences shaped by their respective winemaking techniques.

The highlight of the evening was the tasting of six single-vineyard wines meticulously selected by Owner Dr. Karl. These included Cabernet Gernischt, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Marselan, alongside the latest 2023 barrel samples, offering attendees a comprehensive tasting of the unique characteristics imparted by the Qingdao terroir to each varietal.

One wine enthusiast remarked on site, "The vibrancy of the barrel samples is truly unique. You can taste the 'life force' of the wine as it ages in oak—such an experience is rare in the market!"

Adding to the excitement were multiple rounds of prize draws. The prizes included commemorative cups from the Singapore Chamber of Commerce in China (Shandong Chapter), premium seafood sponsored by Calvin, Vice President of Hong Kong chamber of commerce shandong, and Chateau Nine Peaks' Chairman Reserve. What a lucky day for our winners! We hope you enjoy your prizes.

Following this, the pinnacle blend of Chateau Nine Peaks—the Qi Red 2021—was presented. This Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend captivated the guests with its remarkable complexity and quality, earning widespread admiration.

The dinner concluded perfectly with the Petit Manseng Sweet White, its sweet yet not cloying finish leaving all attendees with a beautiful and lasting memory.
