About AWSA- Asia Wine Spirits Awards by Sommeliers

It was founded by Tommy Lam in 2009 and has been held for 13 sessions so far. For many years, Mr. Tommy Lam has been committed to promoting the culture of sommeliers, and this competition aims to improve the professional skills and service level of Chinese sommeliers, encourage more young people to enter the sommelier industry, and improve the popularity and influence of the sommelier community.

The jury for this competition includes Christian Zhang, Adrian Zhang, Li Haiying, David Sun, Qin Junbin, Guo Ying, Lu Yang MS, Hans Qu, Oscar Nagore, Jason Yin, Sandor Hunyadi, Asgeir Hjelle, Jerry Liao and Arneis Wu (not ranked In order).

The top three below in the competition: Sean CHEN won the championship trophy (first from left), Cassie HU, second place (second from left), and the third place belongs to Walter LIU (second from right). Jay SHI, the champion of the 12th competition presented them with awards. Congratulations to the three excellent sommeliers.

For more than two months, the sommeliers from high-end restaurants and hotels in 7 competition areas in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Changsha, and Xi'an have participated in the selection competitions. In the end, ten sommeliers entered the finals. Let's congratulate these sommeliers who were shortlisted this year!
